Choker

This chocker is beautiful, and looks very simple to recreate, though I would omit the cross for myself and go for a slightly different design here.

Champagne bubble bath.

These make beautiful gifts and something I want to try. Clean out a wine bottle and refill with bubble bath, add your own labels. Simple but perfect for a pamper hamper or such like.

Fairy doors

I want to make a little fairy door, a doorway to the world of elves and fairys. All the ones I've seen look so beautiful and magical.

It could even change with the seasons, maybe have a hook on ready for a wreath to hang, or maybe a "happy birthday" banner.
I think it would make a lovely gift.

Layered Skirt

Spring and summer always make me want new dresses & skirts, and this year is no exception.

I love the skirts with lots of layers...

All floaty, and very feminate ...
...looking beautifully gothic..

and all in my favourite non-colour. The best ones are always handmade, gives them a unique look, also cuts the cost as these in shops usually cost a bomb.

Intricate Quilling

These beautiful pieces of art are by Yulia Brodskaya, her quilling work is beautiful and I would love to be able to do something similar. I'm sure it'll take a lot of practice and hard work to get that good though.

Denim Patchwork Quilt Cover

I have loads of old Jeans that dont fit, far to worn, or stained to ebay, so want to put them to good use. One idea I had was to make a patchwork quilt from them & some of the ones I found while googling are beautiful...

I love how the embroidered patterns on the jeans are used on this one.
And the different coloured jeans, with the seams showing.

The frayed edges look just fab
& I think this one is a great example of how other fabrics can be incorporated into the design.

Magnetic Tray

This is a simple idea but one that I want to try.
You take a magnetic tray (ones used here are baking trays) and decorate it. It is then used as a noticeboard, or maybe even a childs play board.

I'm keeping my eyes open for a decorative metal tray to use, possibly keeping it simple, using the magnets as decoration.
I think they'd also make wonderful presents.

How do I love thee?.....

............. Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
Your material can reach, when worn out at night
For the ends of the hem giving ideal grace.
I love thee to be worn of every day's .....

Ok, thats enough of me trashing Elizabeth Barrett Brownings work, but I do really like this dress
Unfortunately I cant remember where I found this image except that it was while googling, and have been trying to find the same fabric ever since.

Its just so ...... ME!!! I would love to make something similar, with the 1950's inspired halter net dress, corset style sides and Jack S material. That would make 1 fine summer dress!

Glass Tile Pendants

Yes, its another piece of jewellery I want to have a go at!

Helen over on "It's All Fiddle Fart" has opened my eyes up to glass Tile Pendants. Heres her first try with them...

Amazing arent they, so elegant and FAB!!! She has kindly done a tutorial here for them as well.
Helen also suggests googling "glass tile pendants" to find out more, so I did, and heres some of the items I found...

They seem so simple to do but so beautiful.

Washer Jewellery

I think I've got a thing about recycling things to make other things at the moment, especially jewellery. SO heres my latest find...

Washer charms, arent these beautiful!
Multiple charms.

or singular

Think there may be a few tools on my birthday list, though can see me having to buy them myself, cant see my OH searching ebay for letter stamps, hammer, blow torch etc for me, he'd probably be scared what I'd do with them ;)

Ring pull makes...

I came across a simple bracelet made out of Ring pulls (or can tabs as they are more commonly known in other areas) similar to this one...
I liked the look of it so went looking for a pattern, I didnt realise it would open up a whole new world for me!

Here are a few of my finds
A pretty, yet simple bracelet

A very cool belt!

A shopping bag!!

And if you have a lot of time, patience, and ring pulls, a chair cover!!!!

Then I came across the most amazing blog, The Art of Tabistry. Tiffany makes the most amazing items out of ring pulls, which include...
Hair Holders

Masks

And would you believe even...
I saw this last one and my mouth literally fell open, I was stunned that it could be made out of ring pulls.
As I'm sure you will agree, Tiffany is very talented and I am seriously contemplating buying some of the patterns she sells once I've got a few (or rather a lot more) ring pulls.
I have a little pile started up kindly given to me by Noonie and I guess I better start drinking Pepsi out of cans rather than bottles ;)

Ribbon Weaved Book Cover

Isn't this beautiful! Carmen over on Whoopidoo...ings made this for a crafty ribbons challenge.
The moment I saw it I knew (& told her) that I wanted to try something similar. It reminds me of padded, fabric covered books and think it would make any book look so very special.

Fabric dolls house

Welcome to Want to try Wednesday, a day to show off something I want to have a go at making (well durrr, like I need to explain that to you guys)
Isnt this FAB!!!

& the view from inside......

The pattern is on Dawns blog, Uk lass in US.

It is just so INSPIRING! I get so many ideas looking at it and am thinking of making a few for christmas pressies. Wooden barns for the boys, with a field when opened up for farm animals to graze on. I might even make the animals out of little baby socks.
Lovely little cottages for the girls, with a pretty cottage garden when it opens, maybe with embroidered ivy, or wisteria or roses climbing up the wall on the outside. Detail will all depend on when I can get the materials, when I start making it etc etc etc, very excited about it though.
