Scrapbooking: You are a Ray of Sunshine

Another sketch challenge, this time from Sarahs Cards....
When I saw the sketch I instantly thought it was like a full moon which also lead to thoughts of the sun, planets etc until I settled on this idea....

I made a mask in the shape of sun rays which I laid over a slightly cream sheet of bazzil. I then discovered I had no yellow spray, doh! so mixed some white mica spray with yellow food colouring & water in a spare spray bottle, it worked so well!!!! Once dry I added a small amount of red mica spray to give variation & depth. I loved the way it turned out, though unfortunately my awful camera (& camera skills) dont do it justice at all, I wanted to keep the rest simple & keep the sun rays as the pain feature (other than the photo) so I used washi tape for the vertical lines and a few summery, topical stickers.

Scrapbooking: Peering at the Past

This month Sue over at Me and mine set the challenge of this sketch.....
I rotated it 180 degrees and moved the photos in a bit more.

It was nice to find a use for this background sheet as I've had it for aaaaaaaaaaages (probably 7 years)

Scrapbooking: Chipomatic.

I loved this months sketch at SJ crafts blog, & also love the All About a Boy range so combined the two...
The colours & cogs went so well with the "Chipomatic" it made it an easy page to put together that I love!
