Scrapbooking: Happy Holidays

Sometimes I come across papers that are just too beautiful to cover parts up, this was one of those times.

I did trim a lot of stripey border off the top and bottom, and used a sheet of paper in the centre to turn it bac into a 12x12 sheet. I used scraps of card to create pendants of varying sizes, some I mounted onto creams & whites, others I distressed the edges. I added snowflakes and a couple of strips of border stickers. I mounted the photos onto cream & then red to make them stand out more, and added a journalling circle.
There was no need to add a title as there were already two on the background sheet.

The journalling reads ..
"Zack and Kai enjoy a McDonalds for a treat after a hard afternoon bauble shopping"

  1. Oh that's a fabulous use of that paper, I love those types of papers but never know what to do with them because they look 'almost' done!

You've managed it so well adding to the original paper!

  2. That is such a clever way to use a paper like that! Also: gorgeous layout :-)

  3. Haopy New Year to you K. Love the colour scheme and the way you have made those pendants for the background. Gives it a 3d effect. Glad to see you blogging again too. :)

  4. This is gorgeous K!! See what you mean about those papers!
    Happy New Year.
    Hugs xx

  5. I would love to know how you did all the layering to this page K is is sooo effective it looks great and very clever way to preserve the Noel/Happy Holidays paper xxx

  6. Oh, I really love all the depth and distressing on your layered up pennants! x
